Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that generate enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the noises produced from the forklift itself.
The sound has to be readily distinguishable from other audible devices or noises in the work environment. Sound must be readily distinguishable from other sound or audible devices within the work place. The audible device could employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; thus, care must be taken.
Hearing protection makes it really trickier to hear the audible device and to distinguish which direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices could sometimes get deactivated from both operators and employees since they could find them really annoying. Additionally, audible devices may also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To be able protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help avoid injuries and lessen other concerns. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. The levels of noise are reduced at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.

Being able to adjust and lessen the maximum performance of the unit enables a new operator to learn the equipment's operating characteristics in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is needed to enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be certain to manage the equipment in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
