Liquid propane, compressed natural gas, diesel or gasoline could be used to power an internal combustion engine truck. Lift trucks that are powered by diesel or gasoline are generally big trucks used outdoors. The ITA classifies internal combustion counterbalanced lift trucks with cushion tires as Class 4 trucks. Trucks with pneumatic tires are Class 5.
